Commonwealth Proper | Bolt to Blazer

August 3, 2015 José Rosado

"We like our collars crisp and our whiskey neat. We welcome you to Commonwealth Proper."

Zero and Aumen Media have teamed up with Commonwealth Proper, a full service Wardrobe Consultancy, to bring you videos about the store, fashion history, and their clothing philosophy. Aumen Media's work is vast and impressive and we are glad to have them as part of the Zero team. You can check out more of their work here - they tell stories.

Check out the first video in the Commonwealth Proper collection:

The gentleman of Commonwealth Proper - consisting of founders Aaron Pierce & Craig Schroeder - get to know who you are first, before even touching your wardrobe, so that everything you wear is tailored completely to you. The site takes you through the processes in which they collect their fabrics, from hand-picked vintage to a mill-sourced collection from Italy and the U.K. - but all of their clothes are American made. And their online shop boasts some quality custom shirts, suits, and ready-made cotton blazers.

"This city [Philadelphia] really was a fashion hub. We wanted to be able to pull on that historical aspect."

Tying their work to the historical aspect of Philly, is not sentimental but specific and useful. It gives them a unique edge, a brand, an identity that pops. We're hoping this strikes up a fashion forward itch in Philly, leading to a well-dressed, put together population of gentleman. Until then we'll just keep making videos.

Interested? You can make an appointment on their site via the Appointments link and meet them in their Philadelphia showroom for a consultation.

They’ll provide the hooch.
